Kaszi ill.

On saterdayafternoon we noticed that Kaszi was ill, she was laying all the time and then when I wanted to give her a threat, she refused. That is nothing for her, but well Pon’s are strong. In the evening she started to have fever as high as 40 degrees. We gave her something for the fever to go down and after that she felt better.

The next morning she was worse again, not able to keep her buisiness up, not standing properly on her legs and being very week.

Like she was in season and this time loosing much blood I guessed their was something wrong with her womb and I took her to the vet.

Their my worries became truth and after a very profond examination she was sceduled to be operated the next morning, in mean time she could return home and she got allready medication to fight against the infection and make her feel better. And how did she feel better, she ate again, was interested in everything, could walk better etc.

So this morning I brought her to the vet where she would be operated, they would take away her womb, a small mamatumor, and a fat lump.

During the operation I was called, Kaszi was in critical condition and besides having a pyometra (wombinfection) she also has a peritenitis (an infection of the iside belly) wich is lifethreatening. Poor old lady!
We where soo worried and one hour later we got called back that the surgery went well and that she was waking up already.

Now the next couple of hours are very important, she is on intravenual antibiotic and when everything goes well she can come home tomorrowevening. We cross our fingers.

Kaszi is standing up from time to time and is vivid. Still sleeping a lot (very normal after an operation)
